Aloha & Welcome!

My first order of business:

I want to thank John Tsukada and the entire 2007-2009 Board of Directors and Katie Anderson for performing an outstanding job these past two years. The team directed us to new marketplaces and joint ventures that I will continue to expand this term.

Mahalo for your support and confidence by electing me the 33rd HFMA President. My father, Patrick Arakaki, was one of the founding members of this premier organization. I plan to carry the torch by re-activating our dormant members, recruiting new members, and continuing to earn the elite status that HFMA deserves. With everyone involved, we can re-brand our organization, create public awareness, and ultimately, boost sales within our industry.

One reason I am a member:

The most valuable attribute of this organization is networking. HFMA members are a wealth of information and can provide great sales leads and referrals. Attend our monthly membership meeting & workshop to mingle, learn from our guest speakers, and introduce your new products. We encourage you to “toot” your own horn at the meetings…it doesn’t hurt to bring samples!

Our 2009-2010 goals:

• Get members excited and active in our projects
• Increase exposure of HFMA and their members through promotions, community events, and various social networks
• Expand to new marketplaces by actively participating with mainland distributors & retailers, and participating in mainland & local tradeshows
