Lunch meeting with Times Supermarket Buyers

The HFMA has quite a few activities in the works this year. These include interesting meetings and educational opportunities, reverse trade shows with mainland buyers, as well as local promotions.

We start out the year with a lunch meeting with Times Supermarkets buyers on February 21. This is in preparation for an April promotion that aims to be much larger and reach a much greater market than last year's promotion. Times Supermarket will present its ideas for making this an exciting promotion.

One complementary lunch per manufacturer member representative.

An International Conference

The UH College of Tropcal Agriculture and Human Resources is holding an excellent international conference for members of the food industry on Feb 26-27. Topics will include marketing strategies for the worldwide market, global food safety issues, and best practices in dealing internationally.

Speakers include prominant international experts such as Robert Brackett from the Grocery Manufacturers Association, Chor San Heng Khoo of Campbell Soup Company, and Renee Hancher from United States Dept. of Commerce. Local experts will aid attendees in learning about local resources and experiences.

Choose one or two days for an excellent registration fee.
